Tecno Spark 30: A Transformers-Inspired Smartphone!

I was thrilled when I first learned about the Tecno Spark 30, as it is themed after my favorite Autobot. The collaboration with Transformers immediately caught my attention, and I knew I had to get my hands on it. Here is my review of the Tecno Spark 30.

The first thing that stands out about the Spark 30 is its Transformers-themed design. The back features the Autobot logo and iconic lines, along with the Tecno branding. The camera ring on the back adds a unique touch and makes the phone stand out. I also appreciate the placement of the volume rockers and power button on the right side, with the fingerprint sensor conveniently integrated into the power button. The sim card slot is on the other side, and the top of the phone houses a speaker grill and the Dolby Atmos branding. The bottom features a headphone jack, a Type-C port, and another speaker grill. The Transformers theme extends beyond the phone’s appearance, as you can access Transformers-themed wallpapers, icon packs, and even sound effects. Overall, I’m very impressed with the design and feel of the phone.

Display

The Spark 30 has a 6.78-inch 90Hz display, which is good for viewing content and gaming. While the screen is bright enough for indoor use or in shaded areas, it might struggle a bit under direct sunlight. The colors on the display are vibrant and can be adjusted in the settings if you find them too saturated. One cool feature is the dynamic window around the front camera that pops up for phone calls, music playback, and charging.

Camera

The Spark 30’s camera system is decent, and Tecno has made improvements to image processing. Although the shots might not look impressive in the viewfinder, the final results after processing are quite good. I had a good time taking photos with this phone, and I appreciate the 64MP Sony main camera on the back. The camera ring also houses an IR blaster, which allows you to control IR-enabled TVs and other appliances, adding a convenient feature.

Battery

The battery life on the Spark 30 has been more than sufficient for my needs. It comes with a massive 5000mAh battery that easily lasts me through the day. The phone supports up to 18W fast charging and includes a compatible charger in the box.
