Android is Go-ing light weight, and it’s one of the best things you’ll hear this year

The flagship phone has been the main focus of many smartphone companies. These devices and their high-end hardware, and software do all the fancy things that we expect from 2018 technology, but that might not be the way forward for smartphone companies.

A projected half a billion people are expected tobecome smartphone users in the next five years, but they are not going to come from countries which usually patrobize the flagship devices that smartphone companies spend so much time and energy to put out.

However, there is one company that has decided to capitalise on this market, and that’s Android parent company Google. Google has been working with companies in India, where the majority of these new smartphone users are going to come from, to make a sure that the first phone they decide to go for will be an Android device.

With that we introduce “Android Go”, a version of Android so light, that it can run on devices with less than 1 GB of RAM.

This is a huge decision by Google, because not only will it make smartphones available at less than $30 for new users, but it might also encourage non Android users to finally give it a try.

Aside from being incredibly light weight and affordable, Android Go also comes with a slew of exclusive features that makes it even more attractive.

With lightweight versions of staple Android apps like Google Assistant Go, Gboard Go, YouTube Go and Files Go, giving it that authentic Android feel, only with a few performance tweaks to make it a lot lighter.

All in all, this is an incredibly exciting announcement frkm Google, and we can’t wait for Google to announce a budget version of their much-loved Pixel devices which runs this software.
