Android O’s latest Developer Preview 4 was released last Monday, July 24th, and it performs stable enough to be considered as a release candidate. This essentially means we’re inching closer and closer in getting the final version of Android O installed on our devices.
Considering the Android 7.0 Nougat started to roll out to Nexus devices on August 22 last year, we think the update might arrive as soon as next week. However, there are chances that it might get pushed back if any major bugs are uncovered.
It’s worth noting that the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones will be the first in line to receive the new update, followed by the older Nexus devices later on. Android O will be bringing a slew of new features, including the much touted Project Treble, Autofill, emojis and more.
