Apple Reportedly Hosting Multiple September Events To Launch New iPhones, iPads

According to a fresh report cited to DigiTimes, Apple may hold many events in September to introduce its new goods. The news, which was first reported by MacRumors, would represent a departure from Apple’s usual practise of combining launch events into one or spreading them out over a long period of time.

The iPhone 13 family, the iPad Mini 6, a new 9th-generation iPad, the Apple Watch Series 7, new AirPods, and new MacBooks are all slated to be released this fall by Apple. While Apple has yet to confirm a date, a Wedbush analyst previously reported that Apple would conduct an event on September 4 to unveil the new iPhone.

This story from DigiTimes seems to confirm that numerous such instances are likely to occur during the month. One such event would be centred on the 9th-generation iPad, which is rumoured to be a thinner and lighter model with a faster processor than last year’s model. It’s likely to be combined with the iPad Mini 6 and targeted towards the back-to-school crowd.

Apple’s decision to have numerous events in the same month appears to be a logistical nightmare. The latest iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad were all unveiled at the same time in 2019. However, to launch new iPads, iPhones, and Macs in 2020, it held three different ceremonies separated by a month. Apple’s weaker goods can benefit from the attention created by its stronger ones in a combined event, whereas events separated by a month enable the news cycle to take its course.

This DigiTimes article could be correct; nevertheless, given previous precedent and practicality problems, it appears doubtful.
