How to repost on Instagram
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Except for Instagram, every social networking site includes a means for users to exchange memes, images, and other content created by other users. You can tag people in the comments to let them know about a post that someone else shared, but there’s no way to share the post on your own feed so that everyone can see it. Even though Instagram doesn’t have a button for sharing posts in the app, you can still do it. There are two primary approaches: Using a specific reposting software or simply capturing a screenshot and publishing it on Instagram like any other photograph.

Make use of a reposting app.

Vacuum cleaners are despised by app stores. If there is a gap in the market, an app developer will attempt to fill it. You may be aware that there are a number of apps that allow Instagram users to repost content. Apps like Repost for Instagram and Insta Repost are usually free — at the cost of having to deal with obnoxious advertisements — and are rather simple. This is how Repost for Instagram works; most other applications work in a similar way.

1st step

You’ll need to launch Instagram after you’ve downloaded and installed Repost for Instagram. Then, in the upper-right corner, choose a post you want to repost and hit the three-dots button.

2nd Step

Copy the link by pressing the Copy Link button.

3rd step

Now open Repost for Instagram on your phone, and the most recent Instagram post you copied in the previous step should appear.

4th step

When you’re ready to repost the image, tap it, edit the variables as needed, and hit the repost button. That’s all there is to it.

We’d like to point out that the Save Post option on Instagram can be used to keep track of posts you want to repost.

If you want to do this, simply click the flag symbol beneath the right-hand image and follow the directions to create a location for the post. To see all of your saved posts, go to your profile and select Menu > Saved from the drop-down menu. Your saved posts will be organized into folders here.

Take a screenshot and share it on social media.

Reposting programs are fantastic if you use them on a regular basis, but they might take a lot of time if you don’t. There’s also the issue of these apps having unrestricted access to all of your phone’s files. They can also clog up your screen and consume a lot of storage space. If you don’t want to utilize an app to re-post, there is another method. Taking a screenshot, crop it, then sharing it out is a simple way to publish a post. It’s less polished and professional than using a reposting app, but the outcomes are the same.

Because the way you capture screenshots varies by platform, we’ve gathered a set of articles that will show you how to take a screenshot on an iPhone and an Android. After you’ve taken and altered your screenshot, all you have to do now is publish it to Instagram like any other photo or video. Before uploading, we strongly advise that you get permission from the original poster and give them credit in your caption. When sharing other people’s content, this is the recommended practice.
