IOS 15.0.2: So far, Apple’s iOS 15 stable rollouts haven’t been very solid… The new version arrived a few days after the iPhone 13 series was unveiled, and it was riddled with faults that somehow made it past the beta testing process.

It was surprising to see a fresh iOS release with so many flaws, and we believe Apple had to overcome some of the hurdles posed by the epidemic during the production of this update.

This isn’t exclusive to Apple; Google’s latest Android 12 was released at least a month later than usual, and the update is still unavailable for its Pixel handsets.

Returning to iOS 15, Apple has acknowledged the concerns in recent days and is releasing a fix today that should address most of them. The new update brings iOS 15.0.2, which is an incremental upgrade to fix issues with the original edition of iOS 15.

According to Apple’s release notes, the update corrects an issue that might cause photographs saved to your Photo Library via Messages to vanish once the message or thread linked with them is erased.

The latest version also resolves a problem that prevented the iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe from connecting to Find My iPhone.

It also fixes an issue that prevented AirTags from appearing in the Find My Items tab. There’s also a workaround for a CarPlay bug that prevents audio apps from being opened. There’s also a fix for a problem that causes the device to restore or upgrades to fail. When using Finder or iTunes, this bug usually affects iPhone 13 models.

THIS UPDATE INCLUDES BUG FIXES FOR YOUR IPHONE:

  • Photos saved to your library from Messages could be deleted after removing the associated thread or message
  •  iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe may not connect to Find My
  • AirTag might not appear in the Find My Items tab
  • CarPlay may fail to open audio apps or disconnect during playback
  • Device restore or update may fail when using Finder or iTunes for iPhone 13 models”

In addition, Apple is releasing iPadOS 15.0.2 for all iPad devices. The Messages problem and the AirTag bug have been fixed in the tablet update. There’s also a fix for a bug that caused the device to fail to restore or upgrade. When using Finder or iTunes on an iPad mini 6, this happens.

Apple claims that the new 15.0.2 update addresses a specific vulnerability in terms of security. An app might use this flaw to run arbitrary code with kernel privileges. This flaw, according to the business, might have been actively exploited.
