Samsung Electronics Ghana today announced the official launch of Samsung Health in the Ghanaian market, introducing advanced digital health monitoring tools through the Galaxy Watch8 and the Samsung Health Monitor app.

The new features Blood Pressure Monitoring, Electrocardiogram (ECG), and Sleep Apnea Detection  have been clinically validated and approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) Ghana, underscoring Samsung’s commitment to delivering trustworthy and locally recognized health solutions.

The launch event took place at ACTIV8 Gym in East Legon, in partnership with the Melcom Group, highlighting Samsung’s dedication to expanding access to digital health innovation in Ghana.

Clinically Approved Health Monitoring

With Samsung Health and the Galaxy Watch8, users can access medical-grade insights for preventive care and daily wellness:

• Blood Pressure Monitoring – Measure systolic and diastolic pressure directly from the wrist (with calibration).

• Electrocardiogram (ECG) – Record single-lead ECGs and detect irregular heart rhythms, including atrial fibrillation.

• Sleep Apnea Detection – Identify early signs of moderate to severe sleep apnea for timely intervention.
