Vivo Xplay 7 Leaked: The First Phone With Under Screen Fingerprint Scanner and 5 Cameras

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Chinese smartphone brand Vivo demoed Qualcomm’s under-display fingerprint scanning technology on a prototype back in June this year. Now, a new leak suggests that the feature may soon debut with Vivo’s upcoming Xplay 7 smartphone, that will also pack triple rear cameras and dual front facing cameras.

Images of the Vivo Xplay 7’s presentation slide and renders have appeared online, that provide a clear look at the design of the smartphone. From the virtual fingerprint icon located at the bottom of the screen and lack of a physical fingerprint scanner as shown in the images, it’s pretty much confirmed that the Vivo Xplay 7 will use an under-display fingerprint scanner.

Another noteworthy feature is the presence of three camera sensors on the back of the device, but surprisingly, an LED flash is missing. Also, there are two front cameras that will allow users to take selfies with depth effect.

The Xplay 7 has a curved display with minimal bezels and is expected to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. No concrete details about the release timeline of the device has been provided by the leaks.
