Vizio televisions can now access Amazon Music through a built-in app. There’s no need to use Bluetooth or AirPlay or any other workaround to stream more than 2 million songs for free on the third-largest music streaming service in the world thanks to the SmartCast app. You’ll be able to listen to more than 75 million high-definition songs with Amazon Music Unlimited.
Karolina Joynathsing, director of business development for Amazon Music, said in a press release: “With millions of users across the country, Vizio is an obvious choice for us to expand our service into the homes of music fans.” As of today, Vizio smart TVs will begin allowing customers to stream music from their personal music libraries directly to their televisions.
You can use Amazon Music Unlimited with up to six family members for $15 per month. Also included is spatial audio (akin to Apple Music) and better-than-CD quality streams at up to 24-bit, 192 kHz. It currently has a three-month free trial.
According to Katherine Pond, Vizio’s Vice President of Business Development, “At Vizio we believe the TV is the centrepiece of the home entertainment experience, which is why we’ve made it a priority to add content and services that our users love.” Our award-winning Sound Bars, together with Amazon Music and other music services, give Vizio smart TV owners yet another method for discovering and listening to high-quality audio content like podcasts and songs.
Vizio now offers the Amazon Music app in addition to Pandora, Vevo, and Tidal.
