Vodafone Second to launch 4G network service

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Following previous announcements and advancements, Vodafone Ghana is officially launching its 4G network service On Tuesday 19th March, 2019.

This launching is going to facilitate a faster and more reliable network service for its customers.

This upgrade, however, wasn’t delivered on a silver plater. The Chief Executive of Vodafone, Yolanda Cuba confirmed the investment of about 200 cell sites and about $100million to upgrade existing sites and new ones it intends to establish.

Vodafone Ghana has long been considered as the second-largest service provider in Ghana, following MTN, who have the largest market share, due in a large part to their unrivaled network speeds, and their access to 4G networks.

Vodafone Ghana is now making big strides to catch up, and maybe finally overtake MTN as the largest network provider in Ghana.

At this point, only time will tell.
