Checkout OnePlus Buds Pro latest update

Multipoint support on earbuds has long been a Jabra trademark, but we’re starting to see other companies follow suit. The newest is OnePlus, which has released a firmware update that adds “dual connectivity” to its flagship OnePlus Buds Pro.

The Buds Pro will be able to connect to two devices at once after the update is implemented, allowing you to smoothly transition between, say, listening to music on your laptop and taking a call on your mobile phone.

This feature is seen in many high-end wireless headphones, but it has been significantly slower to reach earbuds. Multipoint was a significant selling point for Jabra’s Elite 65t, 75t, and 85t earbuds for a long time.

However, other firms, such as Anker and JBL, are increasingly providing multipoint functionality with their own earphones. Meanwhile, Jabra’s latest earbuds didn’t come with multipoint support out of the box, but that should change in the coming weeks. During CES 2022, Jabra announced that the feature will be available.

Multipoint adds further value to the $149.99 OnePlus Buds Pro, which already have fantastic sound quality, impressive noise cancellation, and a very comfortable fit.

According to the corporation, this update is being sent out in stages, so it won’t be available to everyone right away. “The OTA update will initially reach a small fraction of customers,” OnePlus noted on its forums, “and then we’ll begin a bigger rollout over the next several days.” Early signs suggest that the dual connection capability works as stated, so it’s encouraging to see this handy technique making its way into more goods.
