According to an Amazon blog post, TikTok is coming to Fire TVs in the United States and Canada. This comes just four months after TikTok released a Fire TV app in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany – a TikTok representative verified to The Verge that the US version is identical. You may open TikTok by just saying, “Alexa, open TikTok,” after downloading it from the Amazon Appstore.
Unlike the previous More on TikTok Fire TV app, which only allowed users to watch a curated selection of videos, this new software works exactly like TikTok on mobile. Sign in or create an account to begin exploring the For You, Following, and Discover pages in the same way you would normally.

The app includes an AutoPlay option that allows you to watch films in a continuous stream. With the Alexa Voice Remote, you can even use your voice to control videos and use instructions like “play” and “pause.” The TikTok app is also “coming soon” to Echo Show devices, according to Amazon.
The Fire TV isn’t the only smart TV with TikTok support, but it is the only one in the United States – TikTok was previously only accessible as an app for smart TVs in Europe. TikTok released an app for Samsung smart TVs in Europe last December and later revealed that it would be available for Android TVs in the UK, France, and Germany. TikTok announced in October that it will be available on LG’s latest smart TV models in the UK, France, and Germany.
