The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, which is the company’s third version in the Galaxy Fold series, is nothing short of a valiant attempt at perfection since it has some essential features that would have earned the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G a higher ranking. Later in the article, I’ll go over this in more detail.
Having a new folding mechanism isn’t an option here, since the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G keeps the book unfolding technique we’ve seen before, which is still quite safe and useful in my opinion. The fact that the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold has a similar mechanism demonstrates that Xiaomi agrees with this.
With the book unfolding mechanism remaining in situ, fans may enjoy a cover display as well as an inner display that can only be seen when the tablet is unfolded.
Samsung didn’t make any changes to the sizes of both displays, which are nearly identical to those of its predecessor. However, unlike fold 2, which only had a high refresh rate on its interior display, we have a slightly richer display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate on both the cover and inside the display.

On the front, we have a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 832 x 2268 pixels and a density of 387 pixels per inch.
The Samsung Galaxy Z fold 3 5G has a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1768 x 2208 pixels and a density of 374 pixels per inch (PPI).
Having cameras on display, similar to how we have fingerprint sensors, has been in the works for a long time.
Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, and ZTE have all released devices featuring this technology. ZTE has even released the Axon 20 5G, which includes an under-display camera.
Samsung isn’t a true pioneer in this industry, as evidenced by the facts presented in the preceding paragraphs. However, because Samsung is a pioneer, having an under-display camera on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G means we should see additional OEMs embrace similar technology in the future.
This under-display camera was carefully placed in the unfolding display, giving you additional screen estate.
Because of its prowess with greater screen estate, the Galaxy fold has always felt like what the Galaxy note should have been. With the note being phased out and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G receiving S-Pen functionality, Samsung appears to be thinking along similar lines.
The Z fold 3 does not have a cavity to store the S-Pen, unlike the Galaxy Note, which seemed more natural. In fact, the S-pen is a separate purchase that you may make for your device.
Almost certainly, feature models of the Galaxy Fold will include a stowaway for the S-Pen, allowing for more seamless use.
Since the first version, the folds have been prone to breakage, prompting Samsung to make adjustments to increase durability.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G isn’t a tank-like robust smartphone, but it does add a layer of protection over its predecessor to make it less fragile.
Samsung has given the Galaxy Fold an IPX8 water rating this year. This grade shows that Fold 3 can withstand water from all directions, which means you’ll have one less thing to worry about when using it.
Using the on-paper specifications as a benchmark, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G cameras aren’t a significant increase over the Fold 2. Many of the cameras are merely reminiscences.
A 12MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8, a 12MP telephoto camera with an aperture of f/2.4, and a 12MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a field of view of 123 are included in the back camera. Putting all of these cameras together reveals a rear camera arrangement that is similar to Fold 2.
We have a 10MP punch-hole camera with an aperture of f/2.2 for selfies, which is the same as on the previous model. While the camera inside the fold takes things a step further by not only providing more pixels at 16MP but also having an under-display camera, as previously mentioned. The aperture on this camera is f/1.8.
Having a high-performance smartphone isn’t as exciting as it once was, in my opinion, because specs are now quite predictable. This web appears to be wrapping around the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G.
As promised, we have excellent specifications. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 CPU, which is more powerful than the Snapdragon 865+ processor on the Z fold 2, is the most important performance enabler.
The Adreno 660 GPU, 12GB RAM, 256GB or 512GB internal storage options, and a non-removable 4400mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the 4500mAh battery on the former, are all on the performance train.
In addition, 25W rapid wired charging, 11W wireless charging, and 4.5 reversed wireless charging are all available.
Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC are all included in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G. A USB Type-C port is also included for charging and data transfer.
On Fold 3, internet speeds are limited to 5G. This means that aficionados will be able to enjoy 5G internet speeds if they are in a 5G-enabled location.
A prominent online retailer, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G starts at roughly $1,799 USD. This corresponds to around 740,739 Naira in Nigeria, 196,811 KSH in Kenya, and 10,821 GHC in Ghana, with aficionados looking for the top-spec model paying $1,899.
On August 11th, 2021, Samsung revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, which is set to go on sale on August 27th, 2021.
