Mrs Antoinette Kwofie has been named as Scancom PLC’s first female Chief Finance Officer. Scancom PLC is the operator of MTN Ghana (CFO).
Mrs. Kwofie also holds the distinction of being the first Ghanaian to hold the office. Her employment began on October 1st, according to the Board.
Mrs. Antoinette Kwofie is a University of Ghana graduate with a degree in Agricultural Economics. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in the United Kingdom and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

She comes into this position with a wealth of expertise, having served as Chief Financial Officer of Barclays (now Absa Bank) from 2013 for almost eight years. She joined the bank in 2007 and worked as a Finance Business Partner, Head of Business Performance and Analytics, and Financial Controller.
On his part, MTN Ghana’s Chief Executive Officer, Selorm Adadevoh, underlined the excitement among the company’s employees at the news of her coming.
“I’d like to welcome Antoinette to the Y’ello clan. She is the first female and first Ghanaian to lead MTN Ghana’s Finance Division. “We’re excited to collaborate with her as we continue to establish a platform business as part of our Ambition 2025 goal to drive growth and generate value in the coming years,” he said.
