Among various cool features, Android O brings a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode that lets you see videos or video chat windows in a floating window, while you use other apps. Well, apparently, WhatsApp will soon get the PiP video calling feature.
A leaked screenshot from WhatsApp beta version 2.17.265 for Android shows the PiP video calling mode in action on an Android O running smartphone. The PiP mode on WhatsApp is said to have been enabled by default and a future beta update should bring the feature to devices running Android O.
While introducing Android O, Google showed off the PiP mode via its video chatting app Duo, so it’s not a surprise that the feature is making its way to WhatsApp as well.
