What Makes The Note 20 & 20 Ultra Unique? Check Them Out!

Reading Time: 3 minutes

We are just a few days away from the official global launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and the Note 20 Ultra. With that in mind, this seems like the perfect time to share some of my favorite features these devices have and why I think they are genuinely incredible. But before I go through the list of features, I like, and the differences between the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, let’s look at what they have in common.

Similarities

Both phones, of course, have an S-pen, and their power button and volume rockers on the same side. They both have 25% brighter screens, and both support full 5G connectivity. They both also possess the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chip for the top of the market performance. They both also come in the Mystic Bronze color, which is the only color they both have in common. They both have a 10mp front-facing camera. That’s about as far as the similarities go.

Differences

Display

The Note 20 comes with a 6.7″  FHD+ flat display with a slight bezel while the Note 20 Ultra comes with a 6.9”  WQHD+ edge screen with almost no bezel. The Ultra also supports an adaptive 120hz refresh rate but only in HD+ resolution. I would choose the 120hz refresh-rate even if it means sacrificing some display resolution because with a screen this good, you would not even notice the resolution change as compared to the refresh-rate.

Hardware

The Note 20 comes with a base model of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage while the Note 20 Ultra comes with 12GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. There is also a variant of the Ultra with 256GB internal storage capacity.

Camera

They both have a triple camera setup on the rear and a single infinity O camera cutout on the front. The Note 20 packs a 12MP wide camera with a 64MP telephoto camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the rear with a single 10MP wide camera on the front. At the same time, the Note 20 Ultra has a 108MP wide camera with a 12MP telephoto camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera and also has a 10MP front-facing camera.

Pricing And Availability

Both devices would be available on the 21st of August, 2020, and would be selling at $1000 for the Galaxy Note 20 and $1300 for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Once the phones are available in the Ghanaian market, you can visit any Samsung Showroom Nationwide or any other authorized dealers to either try them out or purchase them.

Thoughts

Based on the specs and the videos of both devices online, I think they are both impressive phones and are easily the top Samsung phones out there. If you would want to have the beastly Note experience, you might want to skip the Note 20 and go for the Note 20 Ultra. Either way, we would try getting our hands on any of them to produce a full in-depth review.
