Earlier this week, Samsung held its unpacked event where they unveiled their next generation of foldable devices they dubbed “the new mainstream of smartphones”, earbuds and of course wearables. Here are the most exciting things that were said at the event.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 Comes With S-Pen Support!

This year’s Z Fold which happens to be Samsung’s flagship when it comes to foldable devices comes with some pretty cool new features. First, it comes with support for the much-loved S-Pen we’ve all come to know and love from their Note line. An IPX8 water-resistant certification that technically makes it the first foldable phone with this rating. The main display on this phone comes with an under-display camera that disappears when you’re not using the front camera. Apart from these features, it comes with everything else you would expect from a Samsung Flagship. While you can pre-order this device and all devices announced yesterday at the event from 9th September 2021, they will be available in shops here in Ghana from 22nd September 2021. It will go on sale with the price tag of GHS10,999.00.

Galaxy Z Flip 3 Comes With Bigger Outer Screen!

The Flip 3 has similar specs to the Fold 3 but in a smaller form factor and without the under-display front-facing camera. Just as always this year’s flip has a better display and an overall better design than its predecessor. It also has a starting price of GHS 6,499.

Galaxy Watch 4 In Collaboration With Google

We got two watches from Samsung at this event, Which are the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic. And what makes me so excited about these watches they both come with the long-promised new OS – The product of Google and Samsung combining the best parts of Wear OS and Tizen. They also come with a lot of health-related features including sleep tracking. The new update also brings offline Spotify support to the watches. The prices of the Galaxy Watch 4 and its variants are as follow: Watch4 Classic 42mm: GHS1999,  Watch4 Classic 46mm: GHS2199, Watch4 40mm: GHS1399, Watch4 44mm: GHS1559

As one of the latest additions to the Galaxy Buds line-up, Galaxy Buds 2 joins the Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds Pro, providing more choices to consumers to fit their needs. As a part of the Galaxy ecosystem, Galaxy Buds2 makes the perfect companion to your Galaxy smartphone, tablet, or smartwatch. The Buds 2 would go on sale for GHS 799.00

Easily Transfer WhatsApp History From IOS To Android

Its always been an issue if you want to move your WhatsApp chats history from a fruit phone to an Android device. During its segment on One UI 3, Samsung announced that now, you’ll be able to take your chat history with you if you’re coming from an iPhone. Details are still a bit sparse, but it seems like the functionality will be coming to phones beyond just the Z Flip and Z Fold 3.

No Galaxy Note This Year?

Around this time of the year, Samsung usually gives us Note devices but this time, there were no mentions. Instead, we saw the Galaxy Fold get support for The Note’s S-Pen as we did for the S21 Ultra. Samsung hasn’t officially said anything about whether the Z Fold series will replace the note but for now, we just have to wait and see if the Fold is good enough to fill in the space for the Note series.

Conclusion

Generally, I like the new devices, and I was super excited about the watches. But as far as thoughts and experience goes, we are going to try getting our hands on them to be able to give you a full review so keep an out here and on our Youtube channel. But tell us in the comments, which of the devices do you prefer and why? Also, what are your thoughts on these devices?
