At this point in time, I think we might as well accept the fact that Apple is going to launch already-existing features and own it as if they were the brains behind it.

Just over three hours ago, the Apple iPhone 12 launch event concluded, leaving us wondering: How exactly does Apple manage to keep doing the same thing over and over each year and keep us so enthralled?

This is not to say that any of the products Apple released were underwhelming; in fact, many of the things Apple unveiled were truly fascinating. However, if you go on social media and check the custom #AppleEvent hashtag, you would be met with a slew of trolls towards the company.

Let’s now go over some of the announcements Apple made and see if they are worth the attention they have been getting online.

iPhone 12 Lineup

Without a doubt, the main reason over 2.5 million people tuned in to the live stream on YouTube was to see the new iPhones. Apple didn’t disappoint their audience, releasing four new iPhones namely: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Mini.

The main thing Apple focused on was the fact that their new iPhones are 5G-enabled, marking the first foray into next-gen millimetre wave technology for the company.

The iPhone 12 Mini was also a large talking point, introducing a rather small but functional 5’4” display that is sure to be a big hit.

In terms of pricing, the iPhone 12 comes in at $799, the iPhone 12 Mini comes in at $699, the iPhone 12 Pro at $999 and iPhone 12 Pro Max at $1099.

HomePod Mini

When it comes to the world of home smart speakers, Apple has been in the game with its HomePod system. To make this device more accessible to more people, Apple unveiled a smaller version of the device called the HomePod Mini.

Coming with Siri in-built and a ton of other cool features, this is sure to be a big favourite for a reasonable $99 price point.

MagSafe Wallets And Wireless Charging

One of the easiest parts of the event to overlook was the announcement of MagSafe support and wireless charging.

MagSafe is a type of wallet that sticks to the back of your phone to keep your valuables safe. Integrating this technology with specially designed coils, Apple promises a faster and more consistent charging experience with any wireless charging port.
