Ghana Jollof, the first Showmax Original comedy-drama in West Africa, is now available on Showmax exclusively.

The show follows Jasper (AMVCA winner Funnybone) and Romanus (AMAA nominee Akah Nnani), two young Nigerians who go to Ghana to “jollof.”

Jasper and Romanus first meet at the University of Lagos in the first episode. They’re joined by Nnamdi (Uzor Arukwe, who played dreaded criminal leader Knight in Sugar Rush) and Kweku (Ghana’s popular telenovela Dede’s James Gardiner).

We learn that Romanus is a hustler, while Jasper’s entire family is “very intelligent.” Nnamdi enjoys flexing, and Kweku, a Ghanaian, has his sights set on a girl. Friendships are formed and bonds are forged.

Diji Aderogba, an AMVCA nominee whose debut feature film About A Boy received the Audience Choice Award at Nollywood Film Week in Paris, France, directed Ghana Jollof.

Ghana Jollof has 13 episodes to watch, with new episodes released every Friday, and it is available to stream in Africa and the United Kingdom.
