The Absa Bank – Ghana Library Authority ReadytoWork partnership has enrolled the first cohort of 1000 young people in the e-learning program.

Young people can take courses on the ReadytoWork e-learning platform to gain work skills, people skills, money skills, and entrepreneurial abilities, thanks to a collaboration between Absa Bank Ghana and the Ghana Library Authority.

To improve their employability abilities, the registered participants will go through all four modules of the ReadytoWork curriculum.

“We are pleased to report that our collaboration with the Ghana Library Authority is delivering great outcomes.” “The number of applications we received for the first cohort of the program far exceeded our expectations, demonstrating the youth’s enthusiasm to learn skills that will enable them to make important contributions to national development,” said Priscilla Yeboah, Head of Citizenship at Absa Bank Ghana.

“At Absa, our mission is to help people realize their potential by assisting them in completing tasks; and we are thrilled to assist the 21st century young in transitioning from learning to earning,” Priscilla Yeboah stated.

“We are poised to give relevant information resources to the inaugural cohort of this collaboration program,” said Mr. Hayford Siaw, Chief Executive of the Ghana Library Authority. We hope that this effort would rekindle their interest in gaining employable skills for their future endeavors.”

The ReadytoWork e-learning toolkit is intended to provide participants with soft skills such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and great communication skills, among others, in order to assist young people in making a smooth transition from school to work.
