Lands Commission to operate a one-stop verification system starting 1st of October

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Beginning October 1, 2021, the Lands Commission will operate a one-stop verification system for all searches made at the Commission.

Mr. James E.K. Dadson, the Acting Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission, stated in a public statement that the Greater Accra Region Lands Commission will no longer issue separate search reports from its divisions (i.e. Public & Vested Land Management Division (PVLMD), Land Registration Division (LRD), and Survey & Mapping Division) (SMD).

This new development is required to ensure that a Commission search report on a parcel of property contains all relevant information in a single report, rather than three distinct reports.

Customers can submit their applications for searches online starting October 1, 2021, at https://onlineservices.lc.gov.gh.

NEWS RELEASE

23RD SEPTEMBER,2021

CONSOLIDATED SEARCH

The public is thus reminded that the Lands Commission, Greater Accra Region, would no longer produce separate search reports from its divisions (i.e. Public & Vested Land Management Division (PVLMD), Land Registration Division (LRD), and Survey & Mapping Division) as of October 1, 2021. (SMD).

These divisions’ records will be combined into a single Lands Commission search report.

This is to guarantee that a Lands Commission search report on a piece of land contains all relevant information in a single report rather than three separate reports.

Furthermore, beginning October 1, 2021, all search applications must be submitted online at https://onlineservices.lc.gov.gh.

Clients who visit the Lands Commission’s Client Service Access Unit (CSAU) will, nevertheless, be assisted in submitting their applications online.

From October 1, 2021, the public is encouraged to visit the Lands Commission website (https://www.lc.gov.gh/services) for step-by-step instructions on how to submit and pay for their applications online, how to track their applications online, how to access search reports online, and the fee payable for the consolidated search.
