At Apple’s “California Streaming” event on September 14, the company introduced a new iPhone 13, as well as two new iPads and the Apple Watch Series 7. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re considering purchasing a new iPhone.

The iPhone 13 Series

There are four phones in the iPhone 13 Series. Despite the iPhone 12 Mini’s poor sales, the iPhone 13 Mini is the smallest and cheapest model in the range. The iPhone 13 Mini shares a lot of features with the standard iPhone 13.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are two premium variants with superior performance and storage options. 5G connectivity is available on all of the phones. Here’s an example of a quick comparison:

iPhone 13 Design

The iPhone 13 has an aluminum body with flattened corners, which is similar to that of the iPhone 5. The speaker, front-facing camera, and Face ID technology are all housed in a slimmer notch, giving you more screen real estate.

The phone’s small design and lightweight allow for a larger battery without sacrificing its slimness. All devices have longer battery life than previous generations, with the iPhone 13 Pro Max offering 2.5 hours more battery life than the iPhone 12 Pro Max, allowing users to go up to 28 hours between charges.

There will be five color possibilities for the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 models: the much-anticipated pink, blue, midnight, starlight, and red. Graphite, gold, silver, and a new light blue tone called “sierra blue” will be available on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The iPhone 13 Display

The iPhone 13 has a 6.1-inch display, whereas the iPhone Mini has a 5.4-inch display that is only marginally larger than the iPhone SE. These versions have 60Hz refresh rate Super Retina XDR displays.

Pro Motion is built into both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max displays, allowing for an adjustable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The iPhone 13 Pro has the same size as the iPhone 13 with a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 13 Pr0 Max has a 6.7-inch display. Ceramic Shield front covers are used on all four models, and they all have an IP68 water-resistant rating.

Cameras on the iPhone 13

The front cameras on all iPhone 13 phones are 12 megapixels. The iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 both have diagonal dual-camera systems on the back, with wide and ultrawide sensors and 2x optical zoom. Sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS) is used by the wide-angle camera to increase light sensitivity and improve the quality of low-light photographs and movies.

New ultrawide, wide, and telephoto cameras will be available on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, with Night Mode on all three. The optical zoom on these cameras is 3x. Photographic Styles and a new Cinematic mode will be added to Apple’s new operating system, iOS 15, which will boost the Camera app and photography software. Photographic Styles on the Camera app will allow you to personalize photographs with text and other effects. Depth-of-field transitions, macro video, time-lapse, and Slo-mo videos will all be possible in cinematic mode.

Pricing, release date, carrier offers, and availability for the iPhone 13

The iPhone 13’s price hasn’t changed since last year. The iPhone 13 Mini, the smallest and most cheap handset, starts at $699, or 679 pounds in the United Kingdom. The iPhone 13 costs $799 in the United States and 779 pounds in the United Kingdom.

The iPhone 13 Pro starts at $999 for 1TB of storage, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max costs $1,099. These gadgets cost 949 pounds and 1,049 pounds in the United Kingdom, respectively.

Carriers are likewise eager to get their hands on a new iPhone.

T-Mobile is attempting to attract new 5G subscribers by giving an $800 trade-in credit that may be applied to future phones in perpetuity — that is, forever. Or, in T-words, Mobile’s “upgrade to the latest iPhone every two or more years and save up to $800.” And you can do it indefinitely.”

AT&T does not want its consumers to abandon the company. With an unlimited subscription, it is giving new and existing users the iPhone 13 Mini or iPhone 13 Pro for free. The other devices will set you back $99. AT&T is also providing $200 off the purchase of two Apple Watch Series 7 devices to customers who add a new line.

Last but not least, Verizon is offering current and new customers $800 off the iPhone 13 lineup with a trade-in on select unlimited plans. Switching providers can also save you up to $500, bringing the total savings to $1,300 on any of the new iPhone 13 variants.

On Friday, September 17, the new iPhones will be available for pre-order, and they will be delivered on Friday, September 24.
