Just In: Google Adds Doctors’ Appointment Availability To Search

As of today, Google’s search results will include a link to the next open appointment time with a doctor or other healthcare practitioner.

It is expected to begin rolling out in the coming weeks, according to product manager Jackie DeJesse, who claimed the business is working with MinuteClinic at CVS and other unidentified appointment schedulers. It will only be accessible in English for the time being.

There are a variety of appointments accessible when someone looks for a doctor or a health care provider’s office. In order to make an appointment, they may click on a “book” button that will take them to another website.

MinuteClinics, for example, provides an “appointments” page with choices for TB tests, immunizations, skin conditions, and other kinds of appointments while searching. DeJesse said that people are now unable to place advertising in that area.

In December, Google highlighted additional health care search capabilities, such as the ability to check what languages are spoken in a doctor’s office and which insurance networks are accepted.
